How To Thinking Big
Tagged in: Untagged
As the old saying goes, “If you aim for the Stars and hit the Moon, you aren’t that bad off”When thinking big it's one thing to set unrealistic goals, for example a 5’ 1” person wanting to play in the NBA. However when it comes to starting a business you have all the physical requirements everyone else who ever made millions or billions had, a brain and a pulse. That’s it, that’s all that’s absolutely required to become the next Billionaire. Now from here there obviously are lots of things you could do to improve your chances for success.Getting a plan, exploiting opportunities and getting an education and maybe a little luck would be a good start. The point here is “don’t be afraid to think big”. A tactic to learn by, is one used by Donald Trump in acquiring financing for his commercial real estate empire, if you owe someone a little money it’s your problem, if you owe someone lots of money it’s also their problem. Don’t be afraid to aim for the stars, but make sure you also have the audacity and tenacity to follow a plan that may get you there. Trump forced his creditors to help make him a success by negotiating and convincing them to put in a big stake in his success. In the end, if you don’t make it to the stars you may just find yourself on the moon, still towering above the average every day paycheck to paycheck life. If you want a small restaurant aim to open a restaurant that will sweep across the entire US! This will ensure you at least meet or exceed your original goal by ensuring no motivation and resource is sparred. You will never know your limitations until you test them. Setting a high goal ensures you are not leaving any effort on the table and really pushing yourself to your utmost potential. Not only that but it helps inspire others who want to be part of your success, however you need to truly believe in yourself if you want others to believe in you. Have the charisma, the courage and the vision to think and act on a larger scale even when everyone else may be looking through a magnifying glass. Become very intimate with scalability!
